MH-CET 2023 – Day 2 Analysis
CET 2023 Day 2
March 26, 2023 (9:00 am to 11:30 am and 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm)
The Day 2 of CET-2023 took place today (March 26, 2023). CET 2023 is being held on two days from March 25-March 26.
This analysis is based on the feedback received from IMS students and experts who appeared for CET 2023 on the second day.
CET-2023 maintained a total of 200 questions. As in CET-2022, the question paper was not divided into different sections. In terms of Level of Difficulty, the test was easier as compared to CET-2022. The test layout was similar to CET-2022.

- Day 2 of CET-2023 was easy, similar to CET 2022.
- As usual, CET 2023 consisted of 200 questions to be attempted in 150 minutes
- Since there is NO Negative Marking in CET, candidates are expected to attempt all 200 questions.
- IMS estimate of good attempts refers to the number of serious attempts and excludes random attempts.
Verbal Ability/Reading Comprehension
In the first slot, there were around 15 RC questions and 37 non-RC questions. There were passages of varying length. Overall, the VARC section was of easy-to-moderate difficulty. Most of the questions could be answered quickly with high accuracy.

The second slot consisted of 50 questions with 20 RC questions and 30 VA questions. Overall, the VARC was easy and was around the same difficulty level as in the previous year.
There were 4 Reading Comprehension passages. Each passage had 5 questions.
The VA section had familiar question types.
– There were around 10 questions based on synonyms and antonyms.
– There were 10 questions on Parts of Speech and Spot the Error..
– In addition, there were questions on Meaning of the italicised words and idioms.
Most of the VA questions could be answered quickly with high accuracy.

Quantitative Aptitude
There were about 60 questions in slot 1 and 50 questions in slot 2 Quantitative Aptitude on day 2 of CET. The level of difficulty of the questions on Quantitative Aptitude was easy.
The questions on Quantitative Aptitude were dominated by questions on Arithmetic. There were maximum questions on Arithmetic. Topics such as Time-Speed-Distance, Averages, Ratio-Proportion, Time & Work, Mixtures & Alligations, Percentages, Simple and Compound Interest were represented.
Other topics on which questions were asked on Quantitative Aptitude were Numbers, Algebra and Modern Mathematics.

Data Interpretation
There were five sets on Data Interpretation in slot 1. Mostly the questions were easy based on simple calculations. In slot 2, no questions were on Data Interpretation.

Logical Reasoning
There were around 40 questions in the first slot and 75 questions in the second slot in the Logical Reasoning section. In Non-Verbal Reasoning, there were Arrangements, Family Tree, Venn Diagram, Coding Decoding, Directions, Number Series, Groups & Conditionalities etc.
No question on Selection Criteria and Sequential Output Tracing.
In Verbal Reasoning, there were questions on Syllogisms, identifying the odd word out of the given words, Analogies, Assumptions, Assertion-Reasoning. The questions were easy.

Overall difficulty of the questions on Logical Reasoning was easy to moderate.
Visual Reasoning
There were 25 questions on Visual Reasoning. There were questions on series completion, analogies and odd man out like in the recent years. The overall difficulty level was in the range of easy to medium.
