Parthiva Mewawala

Finland is aiming to attract 15,000 international students by 2030, with a special focus on Indian students and workers. Universities in Finland are known for their high-quality education and research, as well as their innovative teaching methods, and are keen to attract a diverse student population. India is a key target market for Finnish universities owing to a growing demand among Indian students to quality education abroad. Moreover, the Finnish government sees India as a strategic partner in terms of economic cooperation and hopes that by attracting more Indian students and workers, it can strengthen ties between the two countries.

To this end, Finnish universities are actively reaching out to Indian students, through online marketing campaigns, education fairs and other promotional activities. They are also working to make the application process easier and more transparent, with clear guidelines and support for international students. One of the key advantages of studying in Finland is the emphasis on practical learning and hands-on experience, which can be particularly beneficial for students in fields such as engineering, technology and design. Additionally, Finland is known for its high standard of living, safety and quality of life, making it an attractive destination for students looking to live and work abroad.
