CUET BHU Cutoff 2024 (Latest Round) – Also find previous year’s cutoffs

29 August, 2024
Parthiva Mewawala

BHU’s first round allotment was released on 17th August, just a day after the DU allotments were released. Students have until 20th August to accept the seat allotted to them. Once we compile all the success data from our students, we’ll update this year’s BHU cutoff in this blog.

Benaras Hindu University, one of Asia’s oldest and largest residential universities with over 30k students from 65 countries living on campus, has been one of the top choices for all students appearing for CUET. It’s not just one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the country but also offers a great campus life and solid placements down the line. Considering the high amount of competition involved in landing a seat on the main campus of BHU, the CUET BHU cutoff is expected to be on the higher end.

CUET BHU CUtoff

As a general rule of thumb, students should target at least 85% marks in their CUET exam to stand any chance of getting admission. However, this general cutoff can go higher or lower depending on the popularity of the course, the number of students applying, the difficulty level of the CUET exam, and the number of students sitting for CUET. We’ve compiled all the data to come up with the expected CUET cutoff for BHU for 2024. We’ve also included the 2023 CUET BHU cutoff for your reference. Knowing the cutoff for BHU admission is a key step in your CUET preparation, as it’ll give you a target score and help you hone your strategy.

CUET BHU cutoff 2023 – Previous year’s cutoff for all courses

Due to the changes in the marking scheme and eligibility criteria for BHU admission between 2022 and 2023, the cutoff for many courses fluctuated. In 2022, when the General test was worth 300 marks, the BA (Hons) Social Science cutoff was 352/400. It then dropped to 296.657/350 because the total weightage of the General test was reduced to 250 marks. A similar trend was seen across all courses. For BCom (Hons), the cutoff changed from 612/700 to 540.442/ 650 and BA (Hons) Arts went from 340/400 to 290.5/350. BA LLB (Hons), the most competitive UG program in BHU, saw its CUET BHU cutoff drop from 534/600 to 490.314/550.
