IIM Banglore Executive MBA Eligibility

The Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) is a one-year, full-time residential programme designed for professionals with more than 5 years of work experience. Similar to a two-year MBA program, it provides a strong foundation in key management concepts and disciplines, with a wide range of electives and rigorous grading criteria.

IIMB has developed the EPGP specifically to prepare forward-thinking and creative managers—the business leaders of tomorrow who will generate value for their organisations and society.

Since 2010, IIMB has been internationally accredited by the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS). In December 2021, EQUIS re-accredited IIMB for a further five years.

IIM Bangalore Executive MBA Eligibility

IIM Bangalore executive MBA eligibility: The basic criteria for applying to the programme include:

To apply for the EPGP 2025 program, you need to have a graduation in any discipline with at least 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA. If you belong to the SC, ST, or PwD categories, the minimum requirement is 45% marks or an equivalent CGPA. Those who have completed their CA/ICWA/CS after Class XII are also eligible to apply, and the minimum percentage marks/CGPA requirement remains the same as mentioned above.

  1. Minimum 5 years (and preferably less than 12 years) of work experience is required as of March 31, 2025, after completing graduation.
  2. Make sure that you have a valid GMAT or GRE score at the time of application submission in each round. Submit the official scorecard/test taker copy along with the application if the official scorecard has not yet been received.
  3. The EPGP 2025 program does not accept online GMAT/GRE scores (exams taken at home).
  4. The IIMB EPGP code for GMAT is Q9H-KK-84, and for GRE is 1675. Use these codes to ensure that your scores are sent directly to IIMB. Your official score report from Pearson/GMAC (for the GMAT) or ETS (for the GRE) will be used for verification using the above codes. This process is mandatory.
  5. A statement of purpose (SOP) allows applicants to showcase their future goals and accomplishments.
  6. Two references (online), preferably one from the current employer or from an individual who is in a position to evaluate the applicant’s job performance.

Applications fulfilling all the criteria will be considered for the next stage in the admission process. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview, during which the panel will evaluate their work experience, diversity, leadership qualities, social sensitivity, and other relevant factors.

The authorities use a multi-factor model to select candidates for the program. This model considers academic track record, GMAT/GRE scores, work experience quality, interview performance, and writing ability tests.

Based on this model, each applicant will receive a composite total score. Then, officials will prepare a merit list based on these scores. They will offer admission to a certain percentage of applicants from the merit list, depending on the availability of seats. The number of offers will also depend on whether the candidate meets a minimum cutoff score.

Reservations: The Institute will implement reservations for EWS, NC-OBC, SC, ST, and PWD as per the law.
