IIM Calcutta Placements 2024: IIM Calcutta has once again demonstrated its strong placement performance for 2023, maintaining a perfect placement rate of 100%. The institute’s placement statistics highlight a notable increase in average compensation and a robust representation across major domains and sectors. 

 

 

This year, IIM Calcutta saw 465 students receiving offers from 190 recruiters, including 39 new firms, reflecting the institute’s expanding industry connections. The highest international CTC reached an impressive INR 1.15 CPA, while the average CTC stood at INR 35.07 LPA, showing a steady rise from the previous year.

IIM Calcutta Placements 2023 Sector-Wise Analysis

In the 2023 placement season at IIM Calcutta, the sector-wise compensation packages displayed significant diversity. The BFSI sector offered a broad range of CTCs from INR 27 LPA to INR 72 LPA, reflecting its extensive appeal and varied roles. Consulting roles ranged between INR 23 LPA and INR 45 LPA, indicating strong demand but with a narrower compensation spread. 

General management positions saw the widest range, from INR 23 LPA to an impressive INR 1.15 Cr, highlighting the high value and seniority associated with these roles. Product management and sales & marketing roles offered competitive packages, with product management ranging from INR 23 LPA to INR 45 LPA, and sales & marketing from INR 21 LPA to INR 35 LPA. Additionally, the ‘Others’ category showed a broad spectrum of salaries from INR 24 LPA to INR 1.3 Cr, showcasing the varied opportunities available across less common sectors.

In the 2023 placement season at IIM Calcutta, consulting emerged as the dominant sector, with 55.5% of the offers being made in this domain. The average CTC for consulting roles was INR 35 LPA, with the highest compensation reaching INR 80 LPA. Finance followed, with 86 offers and a notable average CTC of INR 50 LPA, peaking at an impressive INR 1.15 CPA. 

Product management also showed strong results, offering an average CTC of INR 40 LPA and a maximum of INR 70 LPA. General management roles had a median CTC of INR 25.50 LPA and a highest CTC of INR 94.82 LPA. Other sectors like operations, marketing, and e-commerce also contributed, though their percentages of offers varied.
