IIM Calcutta, which is conducting CAT 2024, released the CAT admit card 2024 on 5th November. Students can download the CAT admit card from the official website using their login credentials. CAT 2024 is slated to be held on November 24, 2024. The official answer key should be out by early December, and the result is expected in January 2025. 1. Open the official CAT 2024 website – iimcat.ac.in.
2. Click on the ’Registered Candidate Login’ button.
3. You’ll be redirected to the login portal, where you have to enter your user ID and password.
4. Ensure you input the correct user ID and password, as shared in your official email after you complete your CAT registration.
5. Once you’re logged in, you’ll see the ‘CAT Admit Card’ tab on the top menu. Click on it.
6. Check all your details and download the CAT admit card onto your device.
7. Don’t forget to keep two printouts of your CAT admit card with you in case of emergencies.

Details to check on your CAT admit card 2024

Your CAT admit card is the single most important piece of document for the exam. You need to ensure that all the details are correct and match your government-issued ID. Additionally, details about your test city and centre can only be found on your CAT admit card. Another aspect to keep in mind is your CAT slot. The CAT exam 2024 will be held in 3 slots – morning, afternoon, and evening. Based on your slot, you’ll have to reach your CAT exam centre. The usual practice is to reach the CAT exam centre at least one hour before exam time.

Downloading your CAT admit card from the official website, while easy and straightforward, can become strenuous when the website crashes. Here is how you can make sure you  don’t face issues while downloading your admit card:

1. Avoid attempting to download the CAT admit card during periods of heavy traffic. The iimcat.ac.in website has a tendency to crash when the traffic becomes too much to handle. Instead, download your CAT admit card a few days after it is released. Early mornings and late nights also work well.

2. Check your browser once. Using an incompatible browser can prevent the admit card from being displayed. The same goes for your internet connection. Poor connectivity and slow internet speeds can frustrate your download. 

3. There have also been instances where students have used the wrong credentials to try and log into the portal. Ensure the credentials you are using are the same as the ones you received via email after you registered for CAT.

4. Sometimes, using an unsecured connection can also keep the captcha from loading. As long as your connection is secure and unmetered, you shouldn’t have an issue.
