S P Jain Global Management: Master of Global Luxury Goods & Services Management (MGLuxM) Program
The SP Jain Global MGLuxM program prepares professionals for leadership roles in the luxury industry. Jointly offered by S P Jain School of Global Management and Polimi Graduate School of Management, this 12-month program includes studies in Mumbai and Milan, focusing on luxury markets and marketing strategies. Graduates earn a Master’s in ‘Global Luxury Goods and Services Management’ from POLIMI GSoM, recognised by MIUR, Italy. It’s ideal for fresh graduates and those with 2 to 3 years of experience seeking to advance in luxury management.
Program Structure
.As a participant in this program, the student will study luxury goods, services, and experiences through various lenses, including marketing, logistics, brand management, communication, and financial management. The program offers practical insights into how prominent luxury brands craft exquisite products and unique experiences for affluent, high-net-worth clients.
TERM 1: S P JAIN GLOBAL | MUMBAI (6 MONTHS)
Students begin their first term at S P Jain Global’s Mumbai campus, which lasts six months. The focus is on both general and luxury management, with an emphasis on emerging markets. The program includes study tours and sessions with industry experts, providing students with firsthand experience in the luxury sector. During this term, students visit leading luxury brands in India to gain insights into the country’s evolving luxury market and build connections with industry leaders. This experience deepens their understanding of the complexities involved in luxury management. The program structure addresses the learning goals outlined below.

TERM 2: POLIMI GSOM | MILAN (4 MONTHS)
Students will attend the Polimi Graduate School of Management in Milan during their second and third terms, focusing on Luxury Value Management. This program will cover key processes in creating and delivering value and managing strategic assets within luxury brands. Milan’s vibrant luxury sector provides an ideal learning environment. Students visit nearby countries like Switzerland and France during their four-month stay to explore local luxury brands and markets. Additionally, students will meet with market analysts and interact with executives from esteemed companies with organised study tours to prominent European markets, offering valuable insights into the global luxury industry.
In the second term, students engage deeply with the luxury business, examining it from various angles.
- Value Creation: Understanding brand development, innovation, operations, distribution, retailing, and service excellence.
- Experiential Learning: This term includes interactive classroom discussions, connections with industry organisations, and study excursions to prestigious European luxury hubs.
TERM 3: MASTER THESIS (2 MONTHS)
The program’s final segment focuses on a ‘Master Thesis,’ allowing students to apply what they have learned in the classroom. This thesis may be a report from an optional internship, a business plan for a luxury start-up, a market analysis, or a research paper on a particular topic or industry.
Course Credits
The MGLuxM program is a specialised course that admits students twice a year. All instruction is conducted in English, and attendance is compulsory. Students who meet the academic criteria will receive 60 ECTS credits. The ECTS, which stands for the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System, quantifies the workload handled by students. Italian Language Requirement for MGLuxM Students
Written and spoken Italian proficiency is required for all students enrolled in the MGLuxM program. In collaboration with the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, S P Jain Global will provide Italian language instruction during the first term. Before beginning the second term, students must take Level 1 and Level 2 Italian exams.

The masterclass emphasises engagement, allowing for dynamic discussions between students and experts. Italian Langauge Course at POLIMI GSOM| Milan
The Italian course is designed for non-native speakers and taught by native instructors. Classes of 15 to 20 students are formed based on proficiency assessed through an online test and interview. A deposit of EUR 100 is required for enrollment and refunded upon successful course completion, with absences not exceeding 25%. Attendance is tracked, and a certificate is issued only if the attendance requirement is met.
