Top MiM Colleges in India – QS and FT MiM rankings
In this article, we have compiled the rankings of MIM Colleges In India from two significant sources: the Financial Times and the QS MBA Rankings. But before we delve into that, we first need to understand the differences between an MBA and a MiM.
In India, the Master in Management (MIM) and the Master of Business Administration (MBA) are often viewed as similar degrees, primarily due to their overlapping focus on business principles and management skills.
Both programs aim to equip students with the knowledge and competencies needed to excel in the corporate world. However, the MIM typically attracts younger graduates or those with less work experience, while the MBA is more suited for individuals with professional backgrounds. Despite these differences, the core curriculum elements, such as finance, marketing, and strategic management, make them comparable in the eyes of many employers and institutions. As a result, both degrees are respected and can lead to promising career opportunities in various fields.
One thing that we’d like to emphasise is that, in India, there is no separate MiM degree. Students with less to no experience are clubbed together in the same MBA or PGDM degree as those with more experience. The QS and FT MiM rankings, therefore, rank only the MBA degrees of Indian colleges, albeit from a different perspective.

Due to the pandemic, the FT accepted schools with lower response rates this year. Approximately 9,338 alumni completed the survey, resulting in a response rate of about 31 percent.
