Online Registration

To register for MAH CET CAP, candidates must complete an online registration process on the official website. They must provide basic information to generate a login ID and password. Once registered, candidates can sign in to fill out the CAP application form, upload the necessary documents, and pay the application fee. They must scan the original documents and upload them in the prescribed format. Finally, candidates should print a copy of the application form for future reference.

Document Verification

After completing the MAH CET CAP registration process, candidates are required to participate in an online document verification round. Once the verification is complete, candidates can check their verification status and acknowledgement by logging in to their account. Candidates will be notified if there are any errors and need to rectify the information after logging in.

Provisional Merit List & Grievances

MAH CET releases a provisional merit list based on the application and document verification round. By logging in, candidates can view the list and raise objections about their data. They can also rectify their application by providing supporting documents. Each candidate’s score categorises the merit list.

Final Merit List

The Maharashtra CET Cell will publish the final merit list based on each category, including all the complaints they receive online. This list is crucial as it determines the seats for the following CAP rounds.

Option Form Submission

To apply for colleges, candidates must complete an option form where they can rank their preferred colleges. They can select up to 300 colleges and can edit their choices until the submission deadline. Once they have marked their preferred colleges, they must submit the form.

Provisional Seat Allotment

Their merit and preferences are considered when deciding which college a candidate will be placed in. If a candidate is given a seat in their preferred college, they must accept it since they won’t be allowed to participate in further rounds. However, if a candidate isn’t given a seat in their first choice, they can either accept the seat and withdraw from further rounds or accept the seat and participate in later counselling.

ARC Reporting

Candidates who have been given seats must go to the Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) to accept them. Those candidates who want a better seat in the next round must also report to the ARC after allotment before finalising admission.

Final Reporting to College

Candidates who have completed the CAP process need to visit the assigned institute to finalise their admission. This step requires document verification, updating the admission status online, and payment of fees. This is the last step in the process.
