The CLAT 2025 exam was held on 1st December 2024 at 141 centres spanning the length and breadth of the country. The exam went by without any hiccups as thousands of students set their eyes on securing admission to the top NLUs and other private law institutions. While the provisional answer key was released on 2nd December along with the objection window, the CLAT result is slated to be released on 10th December 2024. Students could file their objections on the Consortium of NLUs website until the evening of 3rd December. According to the official press release, the officiating body will release the final CLAT answer key by 9th December and the final CLAT 2025 result by 10th December 2024.

CLAT result 2025 – Highlights

1. The CLAT 2025 exam was held on 1st December 2024 in 141 centres across India.
2. The provisional answer key was released on 2nd December, and the objection window was opened. Students could raise objections until the evening of 3rd December 2024 by paying a fee of ₹1000 per objection.
3. After the objection window is closed, each objection will be studied. The ones deemed appropriate will be used to alter the answer key and question paper.
4. The final answer key will be released on 9th December.
5. The final CLAT result, scorecard, and merit list will be released on 10th December 2024.
6. After the result, students can start registering for the admission counselling process and sit for the allotments.
7. The first, second, and third allotment lists are expected to be out by 24th January 2025.

CLAT result 2025 – Steps to download scorecard

Once the CLAT result is declared on 10th December 2025, just follow these steps to view and download your scorecard:

1. Visit the official website – consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
2. Log in to the student portal using your registered phone number and password.
3. You’ll be redirected to your CLAT dashboard.
4. On your dashboard, you’ll find the CLAT Results tab.
5. Click on it to view your scorecard.
6. On the same screen, you can also download your scorecard for future reference.

What after you’ve checked your CLAT 2025 result?

Viewing your CLAT result is just step 1 of the overall CLAT admission and counselling process. Along with your scorecard, the Consortium of NLUs will also release the merit list. The merit list is a rank-wise list of all CLAT candidates based on their CLAT result. You will get your All-India rank as well as your Category and State rank. It is on the basis of this list that you’ll be allotted your colleges.

But first, you’ll need to complete the CLAT admission counselling registration form with your basic details and college preferences. Your college allotment will depend on the colleges you choose and the cutoff ranks. Remember, the cutoff ranks for tier-1 NLUs usually remain <250, while the other NLUs can go up to <2000. 

As per past year trends, around 20,000 candidates will be invited for the common counselling process for the NLUs. Here are the steps you must follow to ensure you make it to your target college:

1. After registering on the common admission and counselling portal, eligible candidates will be invited for further counselling.
2. Once the allotment list is out, you can either accept your allotment and pay the requisite fees to freeze your seat or apply for an upgrade by floating your allotment. 
3. If you end up accepting an upgrade, you’ll have to wait for subsequent allotment lists. Once you get your desired college, you can follow step 2 to freeze your allotment.
