GATE Cut Off 2025: Check Category-Wise Cut Off
GATE Cut Off 2025: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025, administered by IIT Roorkee, is a highly competitive examination for engineering and science graduates. It serves as a determinant for MTech admissions, PSU recruitment, and doctoral programs in prestigious Indian institutions. Following the conclusion of the GATE 2025 examination, IIT Roorkee has released the GATE cut off for 2025.
The GATE cut off scores are generally released by the conducting body after the result is declared. These GATE cut off scores are similar to GATE passing marks or GATE qualifying marks.
After each round of COAP and CCMT counselling, GATE cutoff scores will be released for the subsequent rounds. However, it is important to remember that the qualifying GATE cutoff to be released by IIT Roorkee is not the same as admission cutoffs for various institutes.
IIT Roorkee has released the official GATE 2025 cutoff alongside the results announcement. Aspirants exceeding the minimum cutoff marks will be shortlisted for the admissions process. This article incorporates the expected GATE 2025 cutoff based on trends from previous years, exam difficulty levels, and subject-specific analysis.
GATE Cut Off 2025:
Several factors, including the number of seats available, the number of candidates, and the level of difficulty of the exam, determine the GATE cut off. All candidates can check the branch-wise cutoff marks below.

Factors Determining GATE Cut Off:
IIT Roorkee released the GATE cut-off for this year after the GATE 2025 results were announced. Several factors can impact the GATE cutoff.
1. The difficulty level of the exam is one of the most critical factors that influence the cutoff. If the exam is particularly challenging, the cutoff is likely to be lower than it would be for an easier exam. Conversely, if the exam is relatively straightforward, the cutoff will likely be higher.
2. The number of candidates who take the exam also impacts the cutoff scores. This year, around 8 lakh candidates applied for GATE 2025, which is a considerably higher number than last year. With the increase in the number of test-takers, the GATE cut-off scores are expected to rise.
3. The number of candidates who successfully complete the examination is also directly correlated with the cutoff scores.
4. Lastly, the number of available seats can affect the GATE cut off. If an institute has a limited number of seats, the competition for those seats will be higher, which can lead to a higher cutoff score.
