How to Pay IELTS Fee Online after Registration?
Candidates can pay the IELTS registration fees through online or at the nearest IDP branch. Here is the step-by-step guide on how to pay IELTS exam fees in India online:
Step 1: Log in to the IELTS India website to register for the IELTS test.

Cancellation Fee for IELTS Exam

All applications for cancellation and refund must be sent to the Centre using the Transfer & Cancellation/Refund Application Form along with the original receipt of payment of the test fee. An administrative charge of Rs. 4,250, including all taxes, will be applicable in such a case.
If the application for cancellation is received 9 days before the test date, the balance of IELTS test fees of Rs. 12,750 inclusive of all taxes will be refunded to the applicant within 10 – 12 working days from the date of application. Requests received less than 9 days before the test date will not be accepted, and the candidate will not be refunded.

If the application for cancellation is received 9 days before the test date, the balance of IELTS test fees of Rs. 12,900, inclusive of all taxes, will be refunded to the candidate within 10 – 12 working days from the date of application. Requests received less than 9 days before the test date will not be accepted, and no refund will be given to the candidate.
5. IELTS OSR:
Application for cancellation of IELTS One Skill Retake test can be cancelled 72 hours or more before the test starts time under the following conditions:
- Serious medical conditions may prevent you from attending or performing normally on test day; such conditions require supporting evidence of a medical certificate from a qualified medical practitioner.
- Evidence of bereavement, trauma, or other forms of significant hardship.
- Military service.
The IELTS Test Centre will cancel your test but not issue a refund under the following conditions:
- If you can cancel your test or request a transfer in less than 72 hours before the test.
- Do not attend the test as scheduled.

IELTS Exam Fee for Additional Test Report Form (ATRF)
Up to the first five electronic ATRF reports can be submitted free of charge. This allows you to send your results to your top choices without additional fees. However, if you need to send your scores to more than five universities, there will be an administrative fee of ₹250 (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty only) per university.
There is also a daily limit of five universities for ATRFs. To add additional institutions after submitting your initial reports, you can simply revisit your candidate login section after 24 hours.

Payment Methods for IELTS Exam Fee in India
The IELTS test fee can be paid by using the following modes:
- Credit/ Debit (Visa or Master) and Netbanking
- Demand Draft—Please ensure that the demand draft is drawn in favour of “IDP EDUCATION INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED, Payable at New Delhi” and is made from the list of approved banks. The list is in the Terms & Conditions document here.
- Bank deposit—Alternatively, candidates can deposit cash in ICICI/HDFC bank branches through a customised deposit slip that can be downloaded from the IELTS IDP India website or obtained from the nearest IELTS IDP branch office/ referral partner. A copy of the original customer deposit slip must be attached to the IELTS application form.
IELTS Exam Fee Waiver
Indian students who fulfil certain eligibility criteria are eligible to apply for an IELTS exam fee waiver. As part of the scholarship, a full refund of the IELTS test fees of Rs. 15,500 within 45 days of taking the test is offered. However, candidates must pay IELTS test booking fees at the time of registration.
- Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria to be eligible for an IELTS fee waiver.
- Family income is lower than Rs. 20,564.
- Appearing to IELTS for the first time.
- The age of the candidate must be below 32 years.
