IPM Indore 2021 Exam Analysis, Section-Wise Analysis

IPMAT Indore 2021 was an online, center proctored exam, conducted on 16 July from 9.30-11 AM

The test started with the Quant (Short Answers) section, followed by Quant (MCQ) and English sections. Students did not have the option to choose the order of sections. Every section had a time limit of 30 min and students could move to the next section only after completion of 30 min of the previous section

Marking scheme = +4, -1 : Quant (MCQ) and English sections, +4, 0 for Quant (Short Answers)

The questions were easy level & not time-consuming

In the DI table, some data was missing. Hence, the set became tricky to solve. A few Q had ‘Data inadequate’ as an option, which made them more confusing. Questions were of medium-difficult level & lengthy. This section was a little tougher than the 2020 paper.

English was a very easy section. Many students could attempt 27+ Q. This was the most scoring section in the paper. It was very similar to last year

The overall difficulty level of the IPM Indore 2021 paper was moderate.

Section-wise cut-off for PI shortlist should be – Quant (SA) – 20, Quant (MCQ) – 25, English (71)

140+ should be a good score to increase final conversion chances, with a decent performance in the PI round

With a 130+ score, you will need to do quite well in PI for the final conversion
