JIPMAT Registration 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed the Class 12 examination or equivalent in any stream with a minimum aggregate of 60 percent (55 percent for candidates from SC/ST/PwD categories) in 2023 and 2024 or must be appearing in 2025.

JIPMAT Syllabus 2025

Quantitative Aptitude

The Quantitative Aptitude section covers the following topics: Number Systems, Equations, Polynomials, Progressions, Percentages, Profit and Loss, Ratio and Proportion, Time and Work, Time Speed Distance, Geometry, Mensuration, Permutation Combination, Probability, Set Theory, Functions and Graphs.

Most Quantitative Aptitude questions are not difficult, but they are time-consuming. You will encounter three to four questions, each with two statements. Each statement is its own question. Therefore, instead of solving four questions, we are actually solving eight.

Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation 

Logical Reasoning includes topics such as Blood Relations, Coding-Decoding, Clocks, Calendar, Arrangements, and Puzzles.

The Logical Reasoning sections have most questions that are easy, and students should be able to attempt all of them.

Data Interpretation comprises two to three sets, each with three to four questions. The questions could be based on Bar Graphs, Pie Charts, Line Graphs, Tables, or Caselets.

Verbal Reasoning comprises approximately eight to ten questions of an easy-to-moderate difficulty level and covers topics such as Analogy, Statement-Conclusion, Cause-Effect, and Statement-Assumptions, etc.

 

Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension

Reading Comprehension:

The assessment generally includes two passages (250-300 words), each with five corresponding questions.

Topics can include economics, history, science, current affairs, and other related subjects.

Question types typically include specific details, main idea, tone, title, inference, and contextual vocabulary.

 

Vocabulary

Vocabulary is evaluated through various question formats. Key areas include synonyms, antonyms, one-word substitution, idioms, phrases, foreign words, and cloze tests, which typically consist of short passages with 4-5 fill-in-the-blank questions. Students can expect approximately 12-13 vocabulary questions.

 

Grammar: This section includes questions on Sentence Correction, Connectors, Spotting Errors, and Fill-in-the-Blanks. Based on the trend, 8-10 Grammar-based questions can be expected.

 

Verbal Reasoning:

Includes Parts of a Sentence/Sentence Rearrangement (Para-jumbles). (Expect 1-2 questions)
